I will definitely download it onto my Kindle when it comes out in the next couple of weeks.
I felt the same way as you when I read the Introvert Advantage - someone finally understood me. I have always been good at playing the extrovert but I would so much prefer to observe and listen. And I prefer to think before ever talking and I definitely prefer writing and/or painting to talking. There is another book that I really enjoyed (and gave to my brother Matthew for Christmas). It's called Party of One and is a fascinating read. I know Amazon has new and used copies available. On that same note, I am looking forward to a new book coming out later this month. It's called Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking. It has already received some good press and deals with how introverts became less valued than extroverts.... and more. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Quiet-Power-Introverts-World-Talking/dp/0307352145/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1325545836&sr=1-3

All this is to say I enjoyed your post. I am also familiar with the power of self revelation. Once I do open the door and let someone into my inner world (no matter how sad, scared, lonely, disconnected I might feel), I often find that connection that makes me stronger. sebtown294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1078324787471983933.post-77621563703368050152012-01-02T17:18:39.797-05:002012-01-02T17:18:39.797-05:00You know what feels good? I loved the way you made things turn around so that you were the listener for Shirley, and that it was your hand reaching out to steady her. That's the way it has to work. And your ability to put it into words is the signature on your resiliency. Mark O'Neillhttp://markyswrite.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
