We live in an area that has a very large senior citizen population. By that I mean, I think perhaps the underlying feeling might be that I am not ready to accept the reality of his condition which would necessitate him going to a care center.<br />I appreciate your perspective and experience. Having worked in age care facilities up till my retirement, one of the things we worked on was creating tranquility and peace for the residents and 'outpatients' - even when activities were on. Whenever we were seeking to direct anyone, we always explained what was going to happen first. Also, unless there was an actual hearing deficit, we were to use normal voices. So this had all the no-no stuff all over it! Especially given you had not yet met properly met anyone there. Oh gosh. Yes, Ross, this made me mad... and sad...
