I was always adverse to massage until a coworker of mine decided to take massage training, This woman is also a dedicated yoga person and she needed a guinea to practice for the massage licensing exam. I liked her and felt comfortable letting her work on my body. That was a terrific decision. She retired from teaching about 5 or 6 years ago and now is available for regular massage for me on a twice monthly basis. I simply go to her house where she has a massage table and I am able to fully relax while she works those major knots out.sebtown294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1078324787471983933.post-3011228536332161512012-04-12T07:31:43.540-04:002012-04-12T07:31:43.540-04:00This is funny--in a sad way. Sorry it didn't work out and especially sorry it has put you off garlic, which is one of my favorite things to eat, but not so much to smell especially mixed with some of those other scents. I feel the same way about strangers touching me. I'm in awe of people who talk about how relaxing massage is; the mere mention of the word makes me tense up, which I imagine would be quite counterproductive.masked_momnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1078324787471983933.post-89406264339834369552012-04-12T07:31:28.496-04:002012-04-12T07:31:28.496-04:00It's funny, after the session, as the Reiki wa...It's funny, after the session, as the Reiki was packing up her things and getting ready to leave, she told me that she has never worked on anyone who was as tense as me. I think most of the tenseness was coming from the experience itself. As you said, quite counterproductive. Every time we talk she asks "Did you get that massage yet?!" Such pressure. I think I need a massage. LyndaGracenoreply@blogger.com
