T: Tomorrow’s Hope

This month I am participating in the April 2012 Blogging From A-Z Challenge. I will be blogging every day this month with Sundays off (except for April 1) using a letter of the alphabet in order from A through Z. So, Basically, beginning with April 1, my topic will be themed on something with the letterA, then on April second another topic with the letter B as the theme, and so on until I finish on April thirtieth with the theme based on the letter Z.

T: Tomorrow’s Hope

When Anne and Joe shared the exciting news that they were pregnant and that they were having a boy,  they chose not to reveal their choice of  the baby name until after he was born.   They insisted that it was a waste of time to even venture a guess because there was no way we would figure it out.

I suppose staying in the moment of today is wise advice, but my mind is a wanderer.  While I know brooding about yesterday won't change anything,  I am a dweller.  Of course, fretting about tomorrow is futile, but I am a worrier.

One of the most inspirational and emotional moments I have experienced was when Joe said these words to me: "We still have time." And when it was time for me to go he said,  "See you tomorrow?"  For Joe yesterday's memories, today's moments, and tomorrow’s hopes were precious.

Joe and Anne made sure they would always have the hope of a tomorrow.

On October 11, 2011 my son and his wife welcomed a beautiful boy into the world and named him Domani Joseph.

Translated from Italian, Domani means tomorrow...Tomorrow Joseph.

  1. Wonderful post!  I tend to think very little about the past but I do get a bit wound up about the future sometimes.  It can be scary.  I am choosing to be curious instead of worrying.  I'll let you know how that works out....

  3. Lovely story about tomorrow. I can tell you love them very much. Hold them all close to your heart. For tomorrow somethimes does come, and life can remove those you love. This happened to me.

  4. What a great name--and a great story to go with it. It's striking how much Domani resembles his father. Confirmed dweller here myself. I can remember my mother telling me not to dwell on the past--and at the time I had just turned 13! So it's a chronic lifelong condition, I guess.
